Wedding Dance Consultations are provided for each couple at their first scheduled dance lesson. Many issues are discussed and considered including choice of song, choice of dance, type of wedding gown, shoes, dance abilities and projected number of lessons to obtain the couples’ dance goals.

Many brides and grooms just want to learn the basics and simply look poised and elegant on the dance floor. Other brides and grooms are looking for dance patterns that show their guests that they have indeed gained some training, knowledge, and level of dance technique. These couples strive to perform a First Dance, which is impressive to their guests. Finally, other brides and grooms want to make their First Dance truly one to remember. These couples prefer a choreographed dance routine. In such a routine, specific dance steps are carefully coordinated to the music and are performed to accent the emotional and technical components of the music, while overall, making for a performance that will capture your guests attention and set a great tone for your special event.

Many styles of dance are taught. Foxtrot and Rumba are most popular and can be danced to many popular wedding songs. However, other dance styles can be chosen. Many of today’s couples choose less traditional music to dance to. They may also seek a more innovative dance style, such as Salsa, Cha-cha, Hustle, West Coast or East Coast Swing, or even Hip-Hop. These dances are usually danced to a faster tempo, and may require more learning and practice time depending on the couples’ baseline capabilities.

Dance instruction is also available for family members and other persons in the wedding party. Often, this is a nice gift for anyone in the bridal party. Particularly, mothers and fathers, of the bride and groom, greatly enjoy some dance instruction so that they feel more confident when dancing at the reception.
